The Social Work Associate serves as part of a self-directed work team to provide care management and therapeutic connection for clients with disabling HIV/AIDS in Outpatient Services and clients in the Residential Care Program. This job also manages the assigned caseload, provides support to the care team, coordinates client services, and creates and implements treatment plans.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree Social Work, Counseling, or a related field, or equivalent required.

  • Registration as an Agency Affiliated Counselor by the state of Washington required.

  • Also required are: excellent interpersonal skills; excellent communication skills; excellent case management and time management skills; skill in using PC and software (e.g., MS Office); ability to respond appropriately in stressful situations.

  • Preferred: Three years experience in a counseling capacity, including experience with minority issues, chemical dependency, and mental health in a multi-disciplinary team. Working knowledge of grief, bereavement, dementia, and end of life care a plus

  • Fluency in Spanish strongly preferred
