RN Residencies - Hospital or Clinic

We will be accepting applications after 10/1/2018 for our RN Residency programs. Placement opportunities in both the hospital and clinic/ambulatory setting, depending on your area of interest.

Your residency will be a time of learning, training and having opportunities to expand your nursing practice. Our personalized Residency program is tailored to your individual needs and provides the opportunity to develop your career . The goal is to provide you with an environment that helps you learn and to give you all the resources you need to be a safe and successful member of the Virginia Mason team!

Residency Details:

  • 12 month program

  • No contract required

  • Variety of inpatient & outpatient units available; placement determined by areas of interest and the selection committee

  • In person & Skype interviews will be scheduled

  • Program is based on the Virginia Mason Nursing Professional Practice Model

  • Residency start dates will be flexible, depending on graduation date and NCLEX test date

  • 36 hours/week

Qualifications:

  • An active WA State RN license prior to starting the Residency

  • BSN required (or Nurse Tech at Virginia Mason)

  • Available for on-site or Skype interviews

  • Able to work every other weekend, depending on unit placement

  • Time off may not be granted during the residency period
