Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, Washington is recruiting a BE/BC Endocrinologist to join our team.

Position highlights

We provide our endocrinologists the ability to build a foundation and growing clinical practice. As an established teaching hospital and medical center, teaching is a daily part of the role with an active internal medicine resident program. Our endocrinologist will have a strong focus on thyroid cancer and thyroid nodules. We have a thyroid nodule/thyroid cancer clinic in coordination with ENT and General Surgery. In addition, there is a thyroid cancer tumor board which facilitates discussion and management of thyroid cancer and parathyroid cases. This practice will also include general endocrinology as well as diabetes management. Our diabetes team is supported by 2 Advanced Providers, a Registered Dietician, and a Diabetes Teaching Center.

Our team members contribute to NIH clinical trials in conjunction with the Benaroya Institute, Virginia Mason’s internationally known research center for auto-immune diseases including type 1 Diabetes. As a leader in quality improvement (QI) work, Virginia Mason would like to add a member to the team who embraces QI work and has an interest in pursuing as part of their practice.

  • Specialized position with about 50% focus on thyroid (nodules, cancer) and another 50% in general endocrinology

Qualifications:

  • BE/BC Endocrinologist

  • Fellowship in Endocrinology required

  • Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of WA.

  • Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed for specific practice

Team Details

VM Endocrinology is a growing team of MD’s and Advanced Providers with dieticians, pharmacists, and nurses who provide diabetes education and support to the general endocrinology practice.
