Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, Washington is recruiting a BE/BC Orthopedic Hand & Upper Extremity Surgeon to join our team.

The Orthopedic and Sports Medicine team at Virginia Mason has established a reputation for excellent patient care and continual innovation. We are looking for a fellowship trained Orthopedic Hand and Upper Extremity Surgeon to assume a mature and busy surgical practice.

The position is hand and upper extremity specific without expectations for general orthopedic care. We are a tertiary care hospital located in downtown Seattle and a regional referral center for the Northwest resulting, in exposure to a broad spectrum of orthopedic upper extremity care. Opportunities also exist for clinical research, and collaboration with Benaroya Research Institute, a basic science research center that is part of the Virginia Mason Medical Center. This position will be located in our Downtown Seattle Medical Center and one of our Regional Medical Centers located within the Puget Sound area.

Qualifications:

  • BE/BC Orthopedic Surgeon

  • Fellowship training in hand and upper extremity

  • 2-3 years of experience preferred

  • Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of WA

  • Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed for specific practice

Team Details

Our Orthopedic team includes more than 20 Orthopedic Surgeons, nonsurgical providers and podiatrists covering the spectrum of orthopedic subspecialty care. 15 physician assistants are also part of our group, two of whom are dedicated to our hand service and have a combined 25 years of hand specific experience.
