In this position you will provide specialized support for our pediatric ophthalmologist. Orthoptists can positively impact a practice by increasing the volume of patients that a physician can see per clinic day while improving the quality of care. They may also generate revenue by managing patients under the supervision of the ophthalmologist. (AAO EyeWiki).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and completion and certification from an AOC accredited Orthoptic Program.

  • Preferred 1-3 years of work experience post Fellowship

  • This position will be working with children and must be able to engage them in a way that allows for a successful evaluation.

  • This person must also be adept at engaging families, talking to parents, all while providing care.

  • This individual must be people oriented with an affinity for working with the challenging pediatric population and their parents/guardians.
