This role as an Information Security Analyst acts as a technical security advisor to IS. A detailed knowledge of information technology is critical to this role. Your demonstrated ability to technically assess systems and communicate complex security topics to technical audiences will assist in establishing a risk-based approach to decision making. Your recommendations will assist Information Security in defining how we protect employees, customers, and the VM brand in the face cyber threats.

Qualifications:

This position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience and 5+ years in technical roles with a proven depth of expertise in at least one of the following areas of information technology: software engineering, system administration, solution architecture, network engineering, or support desk .

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in an information security or risk management role

  • Previous experience in a healthcare environment

  • Security-specific certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or CySA++, (ISC), 2 SSCP or CISSP, SANS GCIA or GSEC

  • Direct experience defining and building processes that maximize efficiency to participants and stakeholders.
