Job Summary

Manage complex clinical referrals for bereavement care, assist with assignment to grief support groups, implement bereavement support services. Research scope includes recruitment, assessment and ongoing contact with research participants. Benefits include supervision toward licensure.

Responsibilities

Under supervision of LCSW , evaluates referrals through interviews and psychosocial assessments in order to establish appropriate assignment. Administers approved counseling which involves social work assessments, counseling and/or treatment. Identifies and provides outreach in the form of information and referrals for community resources

Serves as research coordinator for ongoing research activities; including recruitment, enrollment, communication with research participants, data entry.

Minimum Qualifications

Required

Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system. The eCredential is to be obtained within 30 days of hire.

One of the following

Current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (L.C.S.W.) certificate for clinical practice in the State of Utah.

Current license to practice as a Certified Social Worker in the State of Utah.

This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements. Ideal, but not required:

The ideal candidate has a demonstrated interest in bereavement and provision of psychosocial care, & clinical research; is knowledgeable about research principles, is able to be quickly CITI certified and familiar with basic research software (RedCap, Qualitrics, Statistical programs). Excellent communication skills and comfortable with persons in distress.
