Job Description:

Responsible for execution of data risk management vision and supporting enterprise-wide data-centric goals and tactics. Serves as a data risk management subject matter expert and trusted adviser. Leads a team which specializes in reviewing effectiveness of implemented data management/governance controls and ensures they meet emerging data risks and comply with existing requirements in policies/standards. Develops and coaches teams to be able to identify, manage, and escalate risk, and effectively manage risk within the teams you oversee.

Responsibilities :

Manages, coaches, and develops team members.

Partners with business and technology to identify, assess, measure, and respond to data risk. Reports progress and statuses to management.

Execute and/or support initiatives sponsored by corporate risk management.

Minimum Qualifications

At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology

  • 6+ years of experience in Data governance, data management, data risk management

  • In lieu of a degree, 12+ years of experience in Solid understanding of Data Management concepts including metadata management, data quality, data governance, and data stewardship. Experience developing risk statements and controls to manage data-related risks. Ability to engage effectively with business and technical partners, influence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Analytics, Accounting, or Business

  • Master’s degree in business

  • 8+ years of experience in Operational risk experience including risk assessments, policy administration, third party risk, control implementation, etc

  • Experience leading a Data Governance, Data Management, or Data Stewardship team

  • Internal Audit experience with a focus on Data Governance or Data Management audits

  • Certified in Risk and Information Security Controls (CRISC)

  • Information Governance Professional (IGP)

  • Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)

  • Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP)

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $103,000.00 to $174,200.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
