Job Summary:

Akima Infrastructure Services, LLC (AIS), is actively seeking candidates to support personnel as part of our staff augmentation team supporting the Department of Energy in Oak Ridge, TN. Successful candidates will be employees of AIS, a premier government contractor charged with employing highly motivated and well-qualified personnel who can advance customer's core mission. Though employed by AIS, the employee will take day-to-day direction and assignments from customer staff and procedures. Pay, benefits, Human Resources, and Employment Management functions are provided by AIS.

Qualified applicants must be a US citizen, at least 18 years of age, and able to meet pre-employment requirements including any required physicals, drug screen, and/or background investigation to satisfy clearance requirements from the Department of Energy

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides behavioral health and mental health consultation, counselling, and case management to employees and assist in securing/referring for additional support/care/treatment as appropriate.

  • Maintains a pool of external mental health and substance abuse resources, identifying viable and reliable local solutions and developing professional relationships to better facilitate worker support.

  • Manages a behavioral health program, procedures, forms, and initiatives for behavioral health.

  • Assists with the management of a substance abuse program, working with on-site substance abuse personnel to facilitate successful implementation and progression.

  • Works with the Medical Review Officer and associated medical staff to ensure success of any associated random drug and alcohol testing when appropriate.

  • Interfaces with the workforce, management, Department of Energy, and other stakeholders as required.

  • Engages with Behavioral Health Team, assisting with program success, future development, and workforce and community engagement.

  • Serves as a subject matter expert in the area of mental health and substance abuse, providing counselling and guidance to management on associated issues.

  • Provides professional advice for Health Services, Human Resources, Labor Relations, and the Legal and Risk Management department for matters involving mental health and/or substance abuse.

  • Ensures confidentiality, accurate documentation, and record keeping compliant with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.

  • May be required to assist in ancillary office/clinic duties such as scheduling, generating reports, assessments, metrics, etc.

  • Provides training, education, and presentations on related mental health/substance abuse topics to staff as requested.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have completed a graduate program in Social Work accredited by Council on Social Work Education and independently licensed as a licensed clinical social worker as required by the state of Tennessee.

  • Successfully have passed the Association of Social Work Board’s clinical licensing exam.

  • Preferred five (5) or more years’ experience in mental health and substance abuse counseling (individual and group) and case management.

  • Preferred Employee Assistance Program experience with Certified Employee Assistance Profession credential.

  • Familiarity in occupational health setting.
