If you are a self-starter known for your partnership skills and keen eye for detail, come join us as a Designer! Use if Designer: In this role, you will be using your skills and expertise to develop highly complex designs, technical drawings, and models. These cover a wide range, from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems. You'll create and review layouts, drawings, and models for clarity, completeness, dimensional accuracy, and conformity to design/drafting standards and specifications. You'll identify design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies, and recommend revisions and/or improvements in designs. You will work closely with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that designs meet specifications and are cost-effective.

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field of study and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience

  • A higher level degree may substitute for experience

  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education

  • Thorough understanding of engineering principles and practices

  • Demonstrated experience with at least one of the following CAD systems:

  • SolidWorks

  • CATIA (System Schematics, 3D Electrical Design)

  • Cameo Enterprise Architecture

  • Experience using a parts library in assembly design

  • Ability to work in multi-disciplinary design and development teams

Preferred:

  • Associates or Technical Degree in a related field

  • Experience using SolidWorks PDM or Dassault 3DExperience platform

  • Working knowledge of ASME and Government standards

  • Background in the Aerospace & Defense Industry

  • Prior experience applying and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5

  • Knowledge of industry-standard design principles, to include, but not limited to parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware and or electrical component selection, fabrication, manufacturing, and production processes

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $91,154.71 - $125,337.72. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.

SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
