Job ID 12450 Location Case Main Campus Full/Part Time Full-Time Regular/Temporary Regular Job Description POSITION OBJECTIVE The Social Worker 3/Clinical Counselor 3 will be responsible for providing age specific, developmentally appropriate clinical counseling and mental health services to students within an integrated healthcare and wellness model. The Social Worker 3/Clinical Counselor 3 provides direct service to students and consultation on mental health and wellness issues to faculty, staff, and students. This role supports the University Health and Counseling Services (UHCS) mission of enhancing the health and well-being of the student community and providing high quality, multidisciplinary mental health-related services. All members of the UHCS staff are considered essential and are expected to work on-campus in accordance with Case Western Reserve University guidance. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provide direct counseling and mental health services to students presenting with a range of mental health and wellness needs within the established counseling model. Services include initial contact sessions, crisis management sessions, workshops, ongoing individual and group counseling sessions, bridge care and/or support with referrals to community providers. (65%) Provide consultation services to university faculty, staff, and students on mental health and wellness to help students access appropriate levels of care. (10%) Provide regularly scheduled clinical supervision and training of unlicensed, or dependently licensed staff and/or trainees, based on the needs of the department. Participate in didactics and training program within University Counseling Services. (10%) Participate in wellness, health promotion and outreach programming to promote campus-wide mental health and wellness initiatives. (5%) Participate in campus crisis support efforts. (5%) NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Participate in departmental meetings and other university activities, as assigned (2.5%) Perform other duties as assigned. (2.5%) CONTACTS Department: Continuous contact with professional and support staff of the UHCS for scheduling, clinical consultation and collaborative work in an integrated model. University: Frequent contact with university deans, faculty, staff and administrators to establish and coordinate support for students dealing with mental health and academic issues. External: Moderate contact with care providers outside the university to assist in the coordination of care for students being treated in the community. Students: Continuous contact with students to provide direct counseling and mental health services to students presenting with a range of mental health and wellness needs. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY This position may provide clinical supervision of selected, pre-professional graduate trainees, or dependently licensed staff, as assigned by the Directors of Counseling or their designee. QUALIFICATIONS Experience: 2 or more years of professional experience (post-licensure) in mental health care, prefer experience with adolescent and young adult populations, and/or experience within a university setting. Education: Master's degree in Clinical Social Work with independent license in the state of Ohio as an LISW or LISW-S or Master's degree in Counseling with independent license in the state of Ohio as an LPCC or LPCC-S required.
