Social Worker Lead – Clinical Review Team

Overview:

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Social Worker Lead, for a Clinical Review Team with the State of Maine.

This social worker leads a team of professionals within the State of Maine’s Office of Aging and Disability Services (OADS) that works to support programs for adults with intellectual disabilities and autism, the Clinical Review Team (CRT).

The CRT Lead social worker will supervise other social workers as well as a nurse. They are responsible for decisions and authorizations related to services available through Sections 21 and 29 of the Mainecare Benefits Manual as well as support to providers of those services. Pay Range: $28 - $32/hour

13 Paid Holidays per year

Up to 10 days of accrued PTO, based on assignment duration.

*Please note that this pay range represents a good faith estimate of the compensation that will be offered for this position. The actual pay offered to a successful candidate will take into account a wide range of factors, including but not limited to location, qualifications, and additional preferred experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Uses Person Centered Planning to identify plans that are best fit for members within Mainecare Benefits Manual Sections 21 and 29 waiver programs.

  • Assesses member psychosocial needs; plans for, evaluates, and modifies interventions to meet member needs.

  • Collaborates with other disciplines to plan and evaluate team goals for each member.

  • Facilitates referrals to community agencies when appropriate

  • Adheres to company policies and procedures while providing services and preparing/submitting required paperwork.

  • Functions as a resource person for other members of Clinical Review Team, providing in-service education and consultation in understanding the social and emotional factors related to health problems.

  • Maintains knowledge of the field including Medicare, Medicaid, Mainecare and other third-party reimbursement sources.

  • Participates in planning and implementing quality improvement activities as necessary

  • Provides positive experiences in assisting members, families, other departmental employees, referral resources, service agencies, and others.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Social Work or related field.

  • LSW, LMSW, or LCSW as issued by the Maine State Board of Social Worker Licensure

  • Three (3) years in social service program delivery or management, with preference given to those with experience serving individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism, case management, and supervisory/management experience in residential services.

  • Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site

  • Understand member confidentiality and HIPAA requirements

  • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required

  • Computer proficiency required

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Schedule: Hybrid position M-F, 40 hours a week, option to work remotely for 3 days a week and 2 days within office.
