Anoka-Hennepin Schools Summer Teacher - School Social Worker in Anoka, Minnesota

SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKER for TARGETED SERVICES ELEMENTARY SUMMER SCHOOL PROGRAM 2 positions available DATES & SUMMER HOURS: June 12 - June 28 Wednesday, June 12 - set up day; 7.5 hours Monday, June 17 - Friday, June 21; 3.75 hours per day; NO SCHOOL June 19 Monday, June 24 - Friday, June 28; 3.75 hours per day 3.75 hours per day, plus set up day, plus 1 hour at the end of the program for paperwork. Total hours are 42.25. HOURS: 8:45 am - 12:30 pm. SITES: Itinerant between Targeted Services Sites: Andover Elementary, Madison Elementary, Mississippi Elementary, Oxbow Creek Elementary DUTIES: Support the needs of students and families experiencing homelessness at each site. Collaborate with targeted services summer school staff as needed to support student engagement and reduce barriers to academic success. Spend one day each week at each targeted service school site. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Requires current MN School Social Worker License. Knowledge of McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act. Experience working directly with students and families at risk of or who are experiencing homelessness. Experience working with diverse populations. Must be physically working in the building. This position may be filled immediately after 7 posting days (after: 1/15/23) by an appropriately licensed candidate (PELSB Tier 3 or Tier 4 license). (Anoka-Hennepin will make every effort to hire teachers with full standard licenses in the assigned subject and grade level.) RATE OF PAY: All Summer School Teachers will receive the hourly rate of $36.80 in accordance with the working agreement as stated in Article X, Section 6.
